Can I bring my own fishing gear?
Sure, if you have your own gear like boots, waders, rods, reels, etc., you are welcome to use it. Feel free to rely on our guides for those details if that is easier for you.
Can I fish with spinning gear or other tackle?
Yes. This trip is customized for your preferences, so we can fish whatever gear you prefer. Just let your guide know your preferences.
What if there is bad weather on the day of my trip?
Rain typically does not impede the fishing unless it is a torrential downpour. Your guide will make the determination if conditions are safe for fishing or not. We are happy to raincheck your trip or issue a full refund if your guide decides it's not safe.
Is the terrain challenging?
Most of the areas we fish are relatively easy to access, but some rivers have slick banks and rocks. Your guide will ask questions regarding your level of mobility. Please be honest. Your guide will make sure that the areas you fish will not exceed your abilities. If you have concerns about mobility, please chat with your guide. and we will make accommodations.
Are there any age requirements for fishing with Katala Outdoors?
Our wade trips have an age limit of 7. Drift trips have no age limit.
